Apple TV+ released a new trailer promoting its upcoming star-studded slate on Friday as part of the winter Television Critics Association press tour, and in a few blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments, footage from the upcoming season of The Morning Show were sprinkled throughout the two-minute teaser.
In the opening seconds, the camera focuses in on Aniston’s Alex Levy as she sits across an unknown figure, looking as if she’s bracing for what’s coming. Another glimpse sees Witherspoon’s Bradley Jackson leaning against the wall behind her with a distressed expression on her face as she lets out a deep sigh. There are also snapshots of Steve Carell’s disgraced host, Mitch Kessler, in a car en route to a destination yet unknown and Bradley “cheers”-ing at a fancy dinner party.
Joining Aniston, Witherspoon and Carell in season 2 is new addition Julianna Margulies, who will play Laura Peterson, anchor at UBA News, the umbrella division under which Alex and Bradley’s morning show is housed. Greta Lee, Hasan Minhaj and Ruairi O’Connor are among the new cast members in the ensemble, which includes Mark Duplass, Billy Crudup, Nestor Carbonell, Bel Powell, Karen Pittman and Desean Terry.

On February 17th, Nestor along with other cast memebers of Lost reunited for Galaxy Con Live, for a panel & to meet with fans. Today the following clip was uploaded to Galaxy Con’s You Tube channel of Nestor explaining the ending to the show which to this day is still a topic of debate for fans.
“Tony Award winner Ali Stroker will be this this year’s gala honoree for the “Badass Woman of Inspiration Award”. Ali is the first person in a wheelchair to ever perform on the Broadway stage and won the Tony Award for the Best Performance by an Actress for a Featured Role in a Musical as Ado Annie in Oklahoma!
The Seasons of Love virtual event will include cameos and performances by Aimee Garcia, Amy Schumer, Andy Garcia, Bob Odenkirk, Brian Dietzen, DB Woodside, Danny Pino, Dmitry Chaplin, Garcelle Beauvais, Hank Azaria, Jenya Chaplin, JJ Feild, Jon Hamm, Kevin Pollak, Maria Canals-Barrera, Nestor Carbonell, Neve Campbell, Patrick Dempsey, Randy Thomas, Rob Benedict, Sherri Shepard, Steve Valentine and more!
Inclusion Matters by Shane’s Inspiration fosters a bias-free world for children with disabilities through the creation of inclusive playgrounds and educational programs that unite children of ALL abilities. This is even more important now during the COVID-19 crisis, as children with disabilities are the most vulnerable to social and physical isolation from their communities. This harmful exclusion in childhood can impact the trajectory of their lives.”
For the February site update we are throwing it back to one of Nestor’s most well known character: Batmanuel. A reference to the Dark Knight himself Batman, the character was conceived due to copyright issues concerning Die Fledermaus from the animated series. He was well known for bragging about his sexual conquests with many including Captain Liberty while rarely saving anyone that isn’t female. Even though the series was short-lived (running only 9 episodes, one of which was never aired on television), many remember Nestor for the role.
For the update I have added screencaps for all 9 episodes of the show as well as stills, and a behind the scene image from filming. In addition you can also view promotional photos of the cast, and their appearance at the 2000 Upfronts for the Fox Network where they appeared in costume. Lastly i’ve added a TV Guide segment Nestor did from the set of The Tick in 2000 where he answered a fan question.
On January 16th Nestor announced via his social media that his wife, Shannon is releasing her book: All Is Not Lost:
How I Friended Failure on the Island and Found a Way Home. In the past 2 weeks, he & Shannon both have begun promoting the book’s upcoming release through social media as well as her website which can be viewed below. The official synopsis for the book from the site is as follows:
“All Is Not LOST is the story of what happened when one woman set aside a lifelong dream in favor of her kids, only to find herself battling her own ego and unfulfilled ambition. Shannon Kenny Carbonell—wife of actor Nestor Carbonell of LOST, Bates Motel, and The Morning Show fame—knew she was making the better choice for her, no matter how painful, when she decided on full-time motherhood over career. Little did Shannon know she would soon find herself desperate to feed the part of her that was suddenly starved of creativity and accomplishment.
When she found out her family would be relocating to Oahu, Hawaii, while Nestor shot LOST, Shannon helped uproot their lives with as much true love and support as she could muster, thinking, “I’ll just have to be lost in the midst of LOST.” But not long after the move, a torturous family fight revealed the burden of her loss was also weighing upon those closest to her. Just like the LOST survivors, she had crashed on an island that would test her, heal her, and surround her with the people who would eventually show her the way home.
With a no-holds-barred honesty that is raw, sometimes heartbreaking, and often hysterical, former working actress Shannon Kenny Carbonell tells her tale of attempting to reconcile her growing feelings of failure and sudden loss of her identity. This is her journey.”
The book has already received praise for its honest look at giving up your dreams for your family & life in the entertainment industry. With a release date of March 16th, you can pre-order the book through Shannon’s site below through links to Amazon, Books-A-Million & more.
Galaxy Con hosted a free live stream Q & A with the cast of Lost which was a reunion with Nestor, Emilie DeRavin, Andrew Divoff, Francois Chau, and Jeremy Davies. During the stream they discussed how they got their roles, as well as answered a few questions from fans.
Afterwards, myself and other fans had the chance to chat with the actors individually, I of course had the pleasure of chatting with Nestor. It was a bit of a wait because he truly was taking his time with each fan in order to get the chance to really talk with them, but the wait was certainly worth it! I was able to talk with him for almost 20 minutes and in that time our conversation ran the gamut from my time in the Marine Corps to my children, and how I met my husband. I also asked him about if he had visited here and he stated he hadn’t but that it was awesome and he wanted to check it out. You can check out the full chat video below!
The gallery has been updated with HQ Episode stills from the short lived Ringer series, in which Nestor portrayed FBI Special Agent, Victor Machado. Special thanks to the Sarah Michelle Gellar Files fansite who kindly allowed us to share some of the photos found in her gallery as well as Nestor Carbonell Fans (no longer online) site for the other photos.
