In 2007 while guest appearing on Lost, Nestor Carbonell was asked to screen test for a new show for the CBS network called Cane. He tested for the role of Frank, the playboy middle son of the famous rum-making Duque family. The series which was likened to a Latino version of The Godfather unfortunately only lasted one season due to the writers’ strike of 2007.
