2026 Emmy Awards Nominating Ballot
Nestor Carbonell is on the nominating ballot for the 2026 Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Yanko Flores in The Morning Show! Voting has begun for each category with the official announcements of the nominees happening on July 8th.

‘Mayor of Kingstown’ Season 5 Casts Nestor Carbonell
Nestor Carbonell has joined “Mayor of Kingstown” Season 5, Variety has learned exclusively.
It was announced in January that the Paramount+ show’s fifth season would be its last. Carbonell will appear in the recurring role of Enrique Molina, described as “a boss who comes to Kingstown to avenge a relative who has gone missing.”

The Morning Show 4 Episode 7 Screencaps
October 28th, the 7th episode of The Morning Show dropped on Apple TV! In the episode, we saw Yanko & Claire’s emotional reunion since their short lived Season 2 meet up. Claire comes to Yanko to seek a safe haven from the FBI who is investigating her connection to a oil ring murder case. This brings up the feelings that never went away for Yanko as she stays with him and they discuss their past relationship. This causes a rift between Yanko and Ariana, who was expecting a proposal but is now questioning if he wants to propose. A moving bathroom scene where he questions his place at UBN, and Claire begs him to drop everything and go on the run with her leads to the clarity he needed. He meets Ariana outside her gym and proposes to her on the sidewalk in a romcom-esque proposal scene. The return of Claire comes to a head when she decides to go on TMS to be interviewed by Yanko to prove the innocence of herself and her friends. Bradley makes the decision to inform the FBI who was pressing her to tell them where she was leading to them storming Yanko’s dressing room to drag Claire away in handcuffs in front of him. The episode ends with Yanko vowing to never work next to Bradley again in anger over her betrayal of them. It remains to be scene in the final three episode what this means for the end of his story for the season.

Pulse Canceled
The Residence and Pulse have been canceled, Deadline can reveal. There are no current plans for a second season of No Good Deed but there is a theoretical possibility for the dark comedy anthology to come back in the future with a new installment — and a new cast, — sources said.
The slew of Netflix scripted series renewals so far this year also include Bridgerton (for Seasons 5-6), The Diplomat (S4), The Lincoln Lawyer (S4), My Life With the Walter Boys (S3), Tires (S3) and Survival of the Thickest (S3, final season). Meanwhile, in what may be a record low for a network or platform, there has been only one confirmed 2025 Netflix cancellation to date, of sophomore spy drama The Recruit.
The cancellation decisions on Pulse and The Residence are not both recent developments.
According to sources, Pulse, starring Willa Fitzgerald and Colin Woodell, was quietly axed well over a month ago when the medical drama’s cast and creatives were notified, with the actors already up for new jobs.
Billed as Netflix’s take on the medical procedural genre, Pulse, created by Zoe Robyn, was likely hurt by being last to market. It was the last of five new medical dramas to launch in the span of six months, with the other four, Fox’s Doc, NBC’s Brilliant Minds, Max’s The Pitt and CBS’ Watson, all taking hold and getting renewed for second seasons. The impact of The Pitt‘s success was particularly notable as the Noah Wyle starrer was firmly in the zeitgeist when Pulse dropped its season on the same day as The Pitt‘s penultimate Season 1 episode was released. (Pulse may also have been affected by its sexual harassment in the workplace theme, which is not an easy sell to viewers looking for escapist medical soap.)
