We started of course at the beginning with his very first TV role in As The World Turns where he portrayed General Cordova. After caps from a few guest appearances he made early in his career in the 90s we hit the 2000s with Resurrection Blvd. During the 6 episode arc Nestor played Peter Terrano, the boyfriend of Yolanda Santiago whom he meets when he joins her law firm. Along with his role in “Scrubs”, I have finished up the final 2 seasons of Lost which in Season 6 features the beautifully written episode Ab Aeterno which gave Richard’s backstory finally clearing up the mystery surrounding his character. The Hollywood Reporter released the following article today about Néstor’s role in the upcoming Bandit movie:

Nestor Carbonell, who plays weatherman Yanko Flores the in buzzy series The Morning Show, has joined Mel Gibson and Josh Duhamel in Bandit, an action thriller being directed by Allan Ungar.

Elisha Cuthbert is also on the call sheet for the movie that is currently shooting in Georgia.

Bandit is based on the true story of Gilbert Galvan Jr, also known as The Flying Bandit, who successfully got away with 63 bank and jewelry heists during his notorious crime spree. Duhamel is playing the career criminal, who escaped an American prison and crossed into Canada, creating a new life for himself but who couldn’t stop his brazen robbing ways.

Cuthbert is playing the wife. Gibson is the gangster who offers the Bandit a loan.

Carbonell’s character is that of “brilliant Detective Snydes,” who leads the cross-country manhunt, according to the producers.

“Apple TV+ has released a new teaser video for Season 2 of The Morning Show, the Emmy-winning drama series starring Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carell, and Billy Crudup. The show returns on September 17th on the streaming platform.

Season 2 picks up after the explosive events of Season 1, following Alex (Aniston) and Bradley’s (Witherspoon) decision to reveal their workplace’s injustices on air. A full synopsis & teaser poster has been added to Gold Rust Entertainment’s website for their latest film production: Bandit. In a snippet from the site, we glean a little more information about Nestor’s character Detective John Snydes who is part of the task force responsible for apprehending the “Flying Bandit”

After escaping a Michigan prison, a daring career criminal assumes a new identity in Canada, marries the love of his life, then goes on to rob 59 banks and jewellery stores while a rogue task force sets out to take him down. Based on the incredible true story and best-selling novel The Flying Bandit.

….But as the stakes become higher and the jobs become increasingly daring, Robert finds himself being hunted by a newly formed task force headed by DETECTIVE JOHN SNYDES, a brilliant cop determined to take him down.
